June 2021 day-TBA

Lets pull out our flags and dust off our Speedos!

Deck your boat in as many rainbows as you can, follow ALL guidelines given by the city/state regarding passengers, masks, and social distancing. We MUST be responsible boaters!

*******THIS EVENT MAY CHANGE DUE TO EVENTS RELATED TO COVID CHECK BACK OFTEN*******

The plan:
Decorate your boat in Pride colors!
We will begin a pre-parade circle just north of the “Playpen” breakwall between 1:30p and 2p, boats should be monitoring VHF 72.  Upon arriving at the circle hail the parade leader on 72, they will let you know which boat to jump in behind. Please maintain at least 50ft between you and the boat in front of you.

Beginning at 2pm we will begin the parade south through the west opening, through the playpen (exact route will be determined based on number of boats and space in the pen), then along Navy Pier, through Monroe past both Columbia & Chicago Yacht Clubs, then south to Queen’s Landing in Monroe.  After passing Queen’s Landing participants are encouraged to anchor in south Monroe (weather and space pending) we would love to get some drone shots of the entire group in South Monroe.  The goal is to have the route inside the break-wall and protected from a N, E, or SE breeze as much as possible.

ABSOLUTELY NO RAFTING UP.

As with all things boating this event is WEATHER DEPENDENT, and it is up to YOU AS THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR BOAT to make the decision on if you will be participating based on the conditions that day.  Should the weather forecast call for excessively rough or otherwise unsafe conditions we will re-schedule.

Be sure to follow ALL rules for social distancing/passengers allowed, and... HAVE FUN/ spread the word!

If you don’t have access to a boat, or don’t want to be on one... NO PROBLEM! You can watch from Queen’s Landing or the end of Navy Pier
